Designed with bold symmetry, concentric halos, and textural gold detailing, Aurelia carries echoes of a golden empire made wearable today. Designed by Joy Haugaard in 2013—years before the Lionheart brand officially came to life—the Cassandane Collection is where it all began. Once created exclusively for private clients, these handcrafted medallions embody the old-world charm and heirloom quality that would become Lionheart’s signature.
A lifelong lover of historical stories, Joy was moved by the tale of Queen Cassandane of the Persian Empire and her legendary love for Cyrus the Great. That enduring romance became the heart of this collection. Blending her passion for history with vintage design influences, Joy envisioned each charm to feel like a weighty coin medallion—rich with texture, depth, and meaning.
